Bob taught at Stetson University in DeLand in the 1960's and has been a constant supporter of Florida Craftsmen since those days.

The organization finds it fitting and an honor to bring him back full-circle to jury Florida Craftsmen's 50th Anniversary Exhibition at the DeLand Museum of Art, March 21-May 8, 2003.

Since his teaching days in DeLand, Bob has been professor of Art at the State University of New York College at New Paltz, the University of Georgia in Athens, Haystack, Penland, and several other art schools throughout the U.S. and Europe.

Currently, he is Distinguished Professor of Art at East Carolina University in Greenville, and continues to guest lecture, jury, and teach at visiting institutions. He is a founding member and Past President of the Society of North American Goldsmiths and in 1982, was honored as a Distinguished Member of SNAG.

Ebendorf processes and extraordinary versatility and dedication to his craft, incorporating master metalsmithing techniques with a variety of non-precious materials, revealing a refreshing approach to technique and design that has distinguished him as one of the most important figures in contemporary craft today.

As a teacher, mentor and extraordinary visual artist, Bob shares his vision freely and enthusiastically. As juror for this historical, prestigious exhibition, Florida Craftsmen, our artists and patrons, and collectors and admirers of contemporary craft will be the beneficiaries of Robert Evendorf's abundant sense of design, quality craftsmanship, respect for materials, and genuine creativity as he selects works to include in the 50th Anniversary Exhibition.
