Rocky Bridges

A native and resident of Tarpon Springs, Rocky is well known in the Tampa Bay area with a strong following from collectors, art critics, media and fellow artists alike.

He graduated from Cooper Union in New York City in 1991. He received a Florida Arts Fellowship in Visual Art in 2001 and a fellowship in the Visual Arts from the National Foundation for Advancement in the Arts, Miami for 2000 – 2003. Selected exhibitions include, Corcoran Gallery of Art, Washington D.C., 2002, Polk Museum of Art, 2001 Gulf Coast Museum of Art and countless exhibitions locally and throughout the state.

Featured in this exhibition is an entirely new body of work combining painting and sculpture in varying sizes. The intent of this exhibition is to truly bridge the perceived gap between fine art and fine craft.
