Brian Ranson: Harmonic Resonances

Klein Family Gallery
Opening Reception: 6-9 pm Friday September 15 2006

An exhibition of new work by Brain Ransom, artist, musician and associate professor of visual art at Eckerd College, St. Petersburg.

Brian's sculptures express visual and audio resonances. They are sometimes electronically based in combination with ceramic vessels, others are activated by water and air columns and still others are bell forms.

An expert regarding acoustics, he has received grants such as NCECA Emerging Artist, the National Endowment for the Arts Fellowship in sculpture and the Fulbright/Hayes Fellowship in Peru.

Brian and his Ceramic Ensemble will preform at the opening reception 6-9 pm Friday, November 15, at the Klein Family Gallery at Florida Craftsmen, 501 Central Ave., St. Petersburg.
