Emerging Young Artists

We are anxiously waiting to hear from Target Stores, Pier 1 Imports, TECO Energy Company and a few others regarding their participation in the festival.

With the help of these additional sponsors, Florida Craftsmen plans to initiate a new program this year. Five high school and college students selected by their instructors from around the Tampa Bay area will be selected to exhibit in an Emerging Artist category.

Artists will be asked if they would like to mentor one of these young, beginning artists and will then have their booths adjacent to each other during the show.

The Emerging Artist Program will provide a new opportunity for talented, young artists to exhibit and sell their work in a public environment, getting ‘their feet wet’ to the outdoor festival market and initiating them to the possibility of producing studio artwork as their future career.
