CraftArt 2006 will take place on new dates - November 18-19, 2006 - but in the same venue, the beautiful, historic St. Petersburg Coliseum.

The total cash awards to artists has been increased to $15,000, and a new $5,000 award has been added.

The juror for CraftArt 2006 is Jean McLaughlin, the director of the well-known and prestigious Penland School of Crafts in North Carolina.

The St. Petersburg Times newspaper is the 2006 media sponsor.

Artist Information

A CraftArt 2006 prospectus and artists' application is available online (.pdf file, 138 kBytes).

Artists' booth fees are the same as for the 2005 show. Pipe and drape (back & sides) will be included in the indoor booth fee at no additional charge. The 2006 fees are:

  • Indoor $385 - $420 (FC Members $365-$400)
  • Outdoor $255 (FC members $235)
  • Requested booth locations will be filled if at all possible.

    2005 award winners will be automatically accepted into the 2006 show. Winners must, however, still submit an application and booth check.

    All artists can expect the same artist amenities that Florida Craftsmen has always offered, including morning bagels and coffee, water wagon and booth sitters during the day. In addition, Florida Craftsmen will host an artist dinner and provide each participating artist with two CraftArt 2006 admission tickets at no charge.

    Six craft artists were named Award of Excellence winners at Florida Craftsmen's CraftArt 2005, held October 29-30, at the St. Petersburg Coliseum.
