Bohemian Rhapsody Event Sold Out
St. Petersburg Yacht Club
A Bohemian Rhapsody, a sold-out special event to benefit Florida Craftsmen, was held on Thursday, April 7, 2005 at the St. Petersburg Yacht Club in downtown St. Petersburg.
Special thanks to Bohemian Rhapsody co-chairs, Laura Militzer Bryant and Jeri Marie Gammage for overseeing all details and for coordinating an enthusiastic ensemble of volunteers.
Festive guests donning their funkiest Bohemian attire arrived between the storm clouds around 6 pm to enjoy artist demonstrations, live music, tasty food and to preview the silent and live auction items as well as pot o' gold raffle awards. These wonderful auction and raffle items were donated by a variety of Florida Craftsmen artisans and fine craft patrons.
Sterling Powell, CitiLife publisher, hosted a fashion show featuring original one-of-a-kind sweaters by Laura Bryant and wearable art by other artists.
Jeff Burchard of Burchard Galleries served as our special guest auctioneer for the live auction which featured a variety of fine craft pieces as well as a one-week stay at the North Carolina home of a valued Florida Craftsmen arts patron.
Special Thanks to Our Florida Craftsmen Artists and Collectors
Donations of their work, large and small, and items from private collections drove this Bohemian Rhapsody fundraising effort.
