Florida Craftsmen’s CraftArt 2012 was a fabulous success. Crowds of buyers turned out to collect fine crafts from an array of talented artists. The event was held this past November 17th & Sunday, November 18th from 10am – 5 pm just outside the doors of Florida Craftsmen Gallery, on Central Avenue between 4th and 5th Streets in beautiful Downtown St. Petersburg.
One of the most eagerly anticipated arts events each year by collectors and patrons, CraftArt featured some of the nation’s best established and emerging fine craft artists with handmade works in jewelry, clay, fiber, glass, wood, metal, paper and mixed media.
Emerging Artists Program: This year several emerging artists have been invited to participate in the CraftArt Festival. Florida Craftsmen, through the sponsorship program, is providing the tent, table and chairs as well as business mentoring by renown artist Duncan McClellan and a photo shoot of their work by photographer Brian James.
Next year’s event will be held on Saturday and Sunday, November 23rd and 24th, 2013.
Juror: Andrew Glasgow, founder of USA Projects and former Director of American Craft Council.
Deadline for Artists’ Applications: September 10, 2013. Apply at zapplication.org today.
