Walt Jaap, a renown coral reef expert, cut plywood into accurate reef shapes. Standing on end, they were joined and then covered with chicken wire and fabric. Laura Bryant, owner of Prism Yarns, used her color expertise to guide volunteers in the placement of the coral pieces which were hot glued in place. Caitlin Tighe built the grotto which features a big grouper peering out from the dark. Meanwhile, BC Woo and his crew painted the most amazing mural on the back wall. Butch Ringlespaugh of the Pier Aquarium brought in a great reef video and installed a salt water tank with live coral and fish. Many thanks to all of the volunteers who helped make this the most amazing exhibition!
